Current Exhibition: Sally England / August 15 - September 25, 2026

Artist Bio:

Sally England is a fiber and sculptural artist based in Ojai, California. Working with traditional handwork techniques such as knotting, weaving, and twining, England transforms fiber and other tactile materials into contemporary forms that explore the relationships between nature, architecture, and the human experience. Sally’s artwork can be found in hotels, restaurants, and private collections internationally. In addition to her studio practice, she shares her love of handwork by teaching art camps and workshops in her hometown of Ojai, California. Originally from the Midwest, England earned her undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University in West Michigan and attended the MFA in Applied Craft & Design program at Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon.

Artist Statement:

I was thrilled when Lou shared his concept for Micro Gallery. I have loved miniatures ever since I was a little girl, obsessed with my dollhouse. My approach for Micro Gallery was to create an exhibition featuring works similar to what I would make for a standard-sized gallery, resulting in playful, oversized pieces reimagined on a miniature scale.
