Current Exhibition: Lou Mora / Before it Changed / Aug. 1 - Sept. 21, 2025
Artist Bio:
Lou Mora is a photographer based in Ojai, California. His work explores the quiet poetry of everyday life—those fleeting, in-between moments that often go unnoticed. With a background in commercial photography, Lou brings a deep understanding of light, composition, and storytelling, but it’s in his fine art practice where he slows down and follows curiosity. His photographs are often grounded in the familiar—landscapes, objects, quiet domestic scenes—but they point inward, inviting reflection. As a father, Lou stays close to a sense of childlike wonder, seeking out the kind of beauty that reveals itself when you're truly present.
You can see more of Lou’s work at lou-mora.com & IG. Please contact gallery for prices and available works. All photographs are Giclée prints on 270gsm cotton archival fine art paper.
Artist Statement:
Before It Changed is a quiet observation of the everyday. Made entirely in Ojai, the series reflects a deep connection to place—one that’s rooted in stillness, light, and a kind of childlike wonder.
These images aren’t about spectacle. They’re about the pause. The way something ordinary can suddenly feel sacred when you really see it. A moment of fog. A bloom. The light just before it shifts.
The work came together slowly, without a strict concept, just a trust in noticing. At its core, Before It Changed is about presence—about honoring what’s here, now, before it slips away.
